Covid-19 has drastically changed plans for all of us this summer and that includes VBYC.
While VBYC adapted and is offering a few weeks of day camps and some family camping options, the revenue from that won’t come close to what camp would receive from our usual slate of summer overnight camps.
Camp relies on those funds for year-round operational and personnel expenses that continue even when we can’t welcome overnight campers. VBYC turned 70 this year and there is no better, nor a more crucial, time to show your love and support for this special place.

The VBYC tree has been covered with leaves with every dollar amount from $1 to $250. Please consider helping by picking an amount to donate to camp. We’ll remove the leaves as each amount is pledged.
Our goal is to remove all the leaves – that would be a total of $31,375 for camp!
The money will help span this difficult time and ensure the VBYC magic continues for generations to come! That is a big number, but with donations of all sizes, we can get to our goal.
To pledge a donation, you can go to our donations page with the amount/leaf you want or you can email Belinda Deeds Thompson.
If you don’t see the amount you want, feel free to request more than one leaf and add the totals together. If that doesn’t work, contact me and we’ll make sure you can donate to camp in your preferred amount.
You can also mail your donation (payable to Van Buren Youth Camp) to:
